Bordering the outskirts of Mainz, the vineyards of Rheinhessen offer the perfect setting for an unforgettable wine experience. This tour takes you to some of the region’s most dynamic winemakers, where you’ll taste not only beautiful Rieslings but also fantastic examples of Silvaner, Pinot varietals, and Chardonnay.
Designed for wine enthusiasts who want to dive deeper into the world of Rheinhessen, this tour focuses on wine tasting and the winemaking process. Each tour is individually curated, ensuring unique tasting appointments at a selection of outstanding wineries.
Morning Pickup: Meet at BottleStops’ designated meeting point at Mainz train station—ideal for visitors based in Frankfurt.
Stop 1: Family-Run Winery – Our first tasting takes place at a charming, family-operated estate. A knowledgeable host—often a family member—will guide us through a curated selection of 6-8 wines.
Stop 2: Lunchstop in Schwabenheim – In this picturesque village, we’ll enjoy a lunch stop at a historic, owner-operated countryside tavern—an excellent opportunity to sample regional food classics. (Meal not included in the tour price.)
Stop 3: Second Family-Run Winery – Our final tasting stop brings us to another renowned Rheinhessen estate, featuring a beautiful tasting room, a friendly host, and a complementary wine flight of 5-7 selections. This stop is carefully chosen to ensure a well-rounded tasting experience.
Drop-Off: We’ll return to Mainz train station for your ride back to Frankfurt or drop you off near your accommodation in the Mainz city center.
